Do you think that it is harder to create you or the heavens? Allah has created it. 27 He raised its ceiling and proportioned it. 28 and He has made dark its night and brought forth its light of day. 29 And after it spread out the earth. 30 And from it produced its water and its pasture. 31 And solidified the mountains. 32 [all this] as a means of livelihood for you and your animals. 33 Then when the Grand Calamity shall come 34 on the Day when man will recall all his strivings, 35 and Hell will be brought in sight for anyone to see: 36 then as for him who was insolent 37 and preferred the life of this world [to the good of his soul,] 38 hell will be their dwelling. 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 shall dwell in Paradise. 41 They will question thee concerning the Hour, when it shall berth. 42 Why (ask they)? What hast thou to tell thereof? 43 To your Lord is the goal of it. 44 You are but a Herald of Warning, for one who fears it. 45 The Day they see it, (it will be) as if they had not tarried (in this world) except an afternoon or a morning. 46
