Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
Do you think that it is harder to create you or the heavens? Allah has created it. 27 Raised it high, proportioned it, 28 And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness. 29 And after that He spread the earth; 30 and brought out of it its water and its pasture, 31 And the mountains hath He firmly fixed;- 32 A provision for you and your cattle. 33 But when there comes the greatest catastrophe (i.e. the Day of Recompense, etc.), 34 upon the day when man shall remember what he has striven, 35 And the Scorch will be made apparent to any one who beholdeth. 36 Those who have rebelled 37 and preferred the worldly life, 38 Verily the Scorch! that shall be his resort. 39 But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination, 40 Will surely have Paradise for abode. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 what have you to do with the mentioning of it? 43 Its final end is for your Lord. 44 You are only a warner to him who would fear it. 45 On the Day when they behold it, it will be as if they had lingered but an evening, or, a morning. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
