He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because the blind man had come in his august presence. 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 to a rich man, 6 Whereas it is not on thee that he is not cleansed. 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 And whereas he fears, 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 Assuredly this is a reminder 11 So whosoever willeth - let him be admonished therewlth. 12 Inscribed in Writs honoured, 13 exalted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him? 18 Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure, 19 and then makes it easy for him to go through life; 20 Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave. 21 Then when He listeth, He shall raise him to life. 22 But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. 23 Then let man look at his food, 24 It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, 25 and then We cleaved the earth asunder. 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 together with grapes and vegetables, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 And fruit and grass - 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 Then when cometh the Deafening Cry 33 On that day man will run away from his brother. 34 Mother and father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 Faces on that Day shall be beaming, 38 Laughing and full of joy, 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
