He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man. 2 How canst thou know, whether haply he might be cleansed, 3 Or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him? 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 to a rich man, 6 Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 and who has fear of God, 9 From him you are distracted. 10 These verses are a reminder 11 and so, whoever is willing may remember Him 12 On honourable pages. 13 exalted, purified, 14 By the hands of scribes. 15 noble and most virtuous. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what has God created him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm He creates him, and thereupon determines his nature, 19 Then the way He made easy. 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 Let man, then, consider [the sources of] his food: 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 Then We cause to grow therein the grain, 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 And the olive and the palm, 29 and dense orchards, 30 And fruits and Abba (herbage, etc.), 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 But when the Shout cometh 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 For every one of them on that Day shall be business enough to occupy 37 Many faces will that day be bright, 38 Laughing and full of joy, 39 And other faces, on that day, with dust upon them, 40 Dust shall cover them 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
