He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 from a blind man who had come up to him. 2 You never know. Perhaps he wanted to purify himself, 3 Or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him? 4 As for he who thinks himself without need, 5 To him you attend; 6 Though it is not your concern if he should not grow (in fulness). 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 And with fear (in his heart), 9 him didst thou disregard! 10 These verses are a reminder 11 Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance. 12 It is set down on honoured pages, 13 Exalted, pure. 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 Of what [stuff] has He created him? 18 From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions; 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 He will then send him to death and have him laid in the grave. 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 Let the human reflect on the food he eats, 24 How We poured down water in torrents, 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 And We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 grapes, and fresh fodder, 28 Olives and dates, 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 mother, father, 35 his wife and his sons: 36 on that Day each will be occupied with his own business, making him oblivious of all save himself. 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 Laughing, joyous. 39 but others will be gloomy 40 with darkness overspread: 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
