He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him? 4 Yet you pay attention 5 To him you attend; 6 Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 And with fear (in his heart), 9 From him will you divert yourself. 10 Not this way this is the advice. 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 On honoured leaves 13 most exalted and purified, 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 noble, pious. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what has God created him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 Then He causes him to die, and puts him in his grave; 21 Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life. 22 Nay, but man did not fulfil what Allah had enjoined upon him. 23 Then let man look at his food, 24 It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 And produce therein corn, 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 And dense gardens, 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 Provision for you and your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 Mother and father, 35 wife and sons, 36 on that Day each will be occupied with his own business, making him oblivious of all save himself. 37 Some faces will shine, 38 laughing and joyous 39 And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust. 40 Blackness will cover them: 41 Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers). 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
