He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 As for he who is sufficed 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 and fearfully, 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 So whoever wills may remember it. 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 lofty and pure, 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 Honourable and obedient. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 Then He causes him to die, and puts him in his grave; 21 Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life. 22 But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. 23 Then let man look at his food, 24 How We pour water in showers 25 Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 And grapes and clover, 28 And olives and date-palms, 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 mother, father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 [Some] faces, that Day, will be bright - 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
