The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 that hide, 16 And the close of night, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 where then are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
