The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
