The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and the night that falls, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
