The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And the close of night, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
