The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
