The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
