Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when souls are united, 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 The rising dawn, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 So where are you going? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
