The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
