Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
