Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars darken, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and the night that falls, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
