Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the pages are made public 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
