The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 And when the souls are paired 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
