Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 And when the seas rise, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 The rising dawn, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
