The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 by the night when it approaches 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
