Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Noble and recording; 11 who know of all that you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
