Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble scribes 11 who know what you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
