Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know all that you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
