Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know whatever you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
Almighty God's Truth.
