Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
