Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the sky is split, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble recorders, 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
