Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know all that you do: 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
