Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble recorders, 11 Who know what you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
