Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know whatever you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
