Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble, recording, 11 who know what you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
