Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
