Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble scribes 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
