Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 watching over you 11 who know all that you do: 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
