Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
