Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
