Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Generous and recording, 11 Who know what you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
