Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble, recording, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
