Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble scribes 11 who know of all that you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 to burn therein. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
