Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble, recording, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
