Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know what you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
