Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky is split, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble, recording, 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
