Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble scribes, 11 They know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
