Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 noble scribes, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
