The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is rent asunder 1 and obeys its Lord as it must, 2 and when the earth is leveled, 3 and casts out all that is within and voids itself, 4 And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord,- and it must needs (do so);- (then will come Home the full reality). 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 he will in time be called to account with an easy accounting, 8 and he shall return to his people, joyfully, 9 But whosoever is given his Record behind his back, 10 He shall call for perdition, 11 And he will enter a Blazing Fire. 12 Verily, he was among his people in joy! 13 Verily he imagined that he would not be back. 14 Nay, but lo! his Lord is ever looking on him! 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 and the night, and what it [step by step] unfolds, 17 And by the moon when she becometh full. 18 you shall surely ride stage after stage. 19 So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe, 20 and when the Koran is recited to them they do not bow? ۩ 21 Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny; 22 And Allah well knows what they conceal in their hearts. 23 Hence, give them the tiding of grievous suffering [in the life to come] 24 But for those who believe and do good works; for them there shall be a never-ending reward. 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
