The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven bursts asunder, 1 obeying its Sustainer, as in truth it must; 2 and when the earth is leveled, 3 and casts out all that is within it and becomes empty; 4 in obedience to the commands of its Lord which are incumbent on it, (the human being will receive due recompense for his deeds). 5 O man, indeed you have to surely run towards your Lord, and to meet him. 6 Then as to him who shall be given his book in his right hand 7 He will be judged with an easy account 8 and he will return to his family joyfully. 9 but as for him whose record shall be given to him from behind his back, 10 Soon he will pray for death. 11 and will enter the Blazing Fire. 12 Truly, did he go about among his people, rejoicing! 13 thinking he would never revert (to Us). 14 Yes indeed; his Lord had sight of him. 15 So I swear by the twilight glow 16 and the night and what it envelops 17 And the Moon in her fullness: 18 That you shall most certainly enter one state after another. 19 What then is the matter with them, that they believe not?- 20 And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 No, the unbelievers only belie, 22 and God knows very well what they are secreting. 23 Therefore give to them glad tidings of a painful punishment, 24 Save those who believe and do good works, for theirs is a reward unfailing. 25
True are the words of God the Almighty.
