The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 And the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
