The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 when they were seated over it 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
