The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO witness the sky (bespangled) with the signs of the Zodiac, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 They sat by it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
