The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 by the Promised Day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
